Trend Lines for Areas and Benchmarks—Now in One View

We’ve added benchmark trend lines to our charts so you can easily compare how an area is changing over time relative to a benchmark.

Here’s how it works:

  • The solid line shows the trend for the selected area.

  • The dotted line shows the benchmark trend.

  • Use the benchmark toggle at the top (National, State, or Regional) to switch benchmarks—when you change it, the dotted benchmark line updates on the chart.

This makes it easier to see whether an area is keeping pace with, outperforming, or falling behind its benchmark over time, not just in a single year.
